My FPC magazine release main housing broke in half after about 500 rounds. I contacted S&W customer service and they said that they would send me the three parts that make up the magazine release assembly.
10 days later (today) a package came from S&W with 2 small magazine release parts (the spring and the plunger).
The main part (the broken main housing shown in the picture) did not arrive.
I sent S&W an e-mail informing them of my missing repair part. I hope that I hear from them soon. My carbine is a single shot until then.

This long-winded description leaves me with two questions:

Has anyone else had a FPC magazine release break?

Has anyone had repair parts sent from S&W arrive in two different packages?

The main body of the magazine release is metal but it looks like pot metal where the piece broke off. I tried to put it back together with JB Weld but it didn't work.

I wonder how long before we see aftermarket machined stainless nitrided ones at $65 bucks a pop?

S&W sent me the replacement Mag Catch today and my FPC is now working fine.

As far as I'm concerned, S&W Customer Service is still the Gold Standard.
