Freedom Munitions Ammo Review

Very nice video! Tried Freedom Munitions once, the 9mm re-man ran fine in both the 115 & 124 gr. loads. No issues with function or accuracy. Bought a box of 38 Special that I still have to try. The 45 acp 230 gr. FMJ re-man load felt more like a 357 magnum! Maybe a bad batch? Only 45 ball ammo I've EVER shot that hurt my hand when shooting! This was through my 5" Ruger SR1911.

When they run free shipping or specials on their ammo, it's a pretty good deal, and most don't have any issues.

That must have been an oddly hot batch. I've fired 100+ rounds of their .45 hardball though a Springfield XD(M) 5.25" competition model (a polymer gun about half a pound lighter than a 1911) and it felt normal, meaning on par with common ammo like Blazer Brass.

I noted their 124gr 9mm remanufactured was notable less accurate than Magtech when fired at 25 yards from an S&W 986 revolver. The accuracy stunk and we're comparing this to cheap ammo from Brazil, nothing fancy.

Their quality control leaves much to be desired and seems to illustrate that you get what you pay for.

Their 147gr 9mm was measured by a guy on another board to only go 790ft/sec from a Glock 34, rather than the claimed 990. This could well explained which it jammed every time, turning a semi-auto, into a single-shot pistol.

FM has many fans; I'm certainly not one of them.
