That guy's a goof.
Works at a reptile supply house and studying zookeeping.
Fingers point squarely at the reptile farms for the current
dilemma of snakes and lizards overrunning So. Florida.

I watched Andrew Zimmern shoot them and eat them, so I figure they taste like chicken, but to me they’re right up there with Balut! I don’t want to have to find out what either one tastes like!

in 61, korea, told it was beef soup, keep asking mamasan what kind of meat the "beef soup" was, finally one of the women sitting w/ my buddies and i "BARKED" at me, dog doesn't taste to bad, rather have beef jerky. the lizards, think i'd pass it.

During a previous cold snap, some bozo threw a bunch of cold shocked lizards in the back of his hatchback. Unsecured. Not sure what his plan was, but it did not take into account the lizards would warm up inside his car.....

Whats crazy about the video is this.

On a lot of the barrier islands with mega million dollar homes, folks complain about the Iguanas. They eat everything, leave their waste all over patios, pools yachts etc.

So they wanted them eliminated. Then the animal rights folks step in (remember these are not native species and eat eggs of the natives animals)

It would be to easy to just shoot them with a pellet gun or net and kill them.

Noooo! They have to be live trapped, and then HUMANLY euthanized. Soooo how to you do that? They most be put on a freezer and SLOWLY decrease the temp until they are really dead. Then all the paper work and shipped to research companies. Can't just dump them in the Ocean or Gulf.

Oh and the County (taxes) has to pay for the hunters at around $25 a piece!!

Good—We should all stay out of trees. Remember what happened to Keith Richards—believed to be embalmed for eternity by drugs and rock-n-roll? It nearly killed him falling out of a tree!

Death from above, raining cats N dogs, & iguanas? Just another in the long list of "ONLY IN FLORIDA" news stories. Should be an item in Seth Meyers monologue any day now.

Difficult kill shot with a pellet rifle for an iguana, they're tough and stupid.
Only shot I'll take is if they're in a tree directly overhead and I can hit dead center between the jaw hinges.
Instant death, they won't even fall out of the tree.


Best deterrent is a small dog.
Still have none on the property even my late girl hasn't felt like chasing them for over a year.
