I bought this early January and had trouble with it not going into battery with any type of ammo. I sent it back to Dan Wesson and they throated and polished the barrel. I have the letter from Keith at the factory confirming what they did.
After I got it back, I only put 50 rounds of fiocchi factory ammunition through it to verify that it functioned correctly. It is a dream to shoot and VERY accurate but I hate reloading 9mm and I cant swallow the prices for purchasing factory ammunition even though 9mm is the cheapest centerfire pistol round. This pistol is discontinued by Dan Wesson and only a limited amount were made in 2009.
I am offering this pristine, 99% 1911 pistol for sale or trade for nice older Smith revolvers. I'd rather load .38/.357 or .45 for my other Dan Wesson 1911.
I am not looking to ship. Asking $1100 OBO in SC.
