Following are recently taken composite pics of the boxes.
Note that lighting does affect how some look. Where there is a defect that is noticeable with the eye and not in the picture, I have included multiple shots under different lighting and annotated the pics so you can see the flaws that might not show under some conditions. This is mainly with the higher priced gold boxes. Likewise, there are some blemishes that are hardly noticeable to the eye but look like a major disaster in the pic. I didn't sugar coat them so if something is an issue for you- send me a comment and we can look closer at it.

4. Gold-Pre-27 Nickle 357 Magnum 8 3/8"-Top Only- How many 8 3/8" Nickle Pre-27's do you think are out there? I know there's at least one... This box may have been slated for the trashcan if it wasn't a potentially rare item. Finding a matching bottom might take some time, but there are more of them out there than matching tops. Two corners need fixing... one is semi-intact and the other is completely gone. This box would be worth restoring if you have the right gun for it. It also could be used as a vintage parts/panel donor to the professional box restorer...
