Due to living in mass my fun has a 10.5 pound trigger other than the pull weight I don't really have any complaints all I want to do is get the pull to around 5 what's my best option

I live in Mass also.
My 45c came with the dreaded 10.5lb trigger and I loved the gun but not the trigger.
I put in the Apex DCAEK and used the supplied springs to bring the pull down to 5-5.5lbs. You can mix and match the sear and trigger return springs to get it lower but after trying all the combinations, I felt that 5-5.5lbs was plenty low enough.
Mine was also a bit gritty, but not enough to bother me, but the Apex kit took care of that also.

The trigger on my FS40 was gritty when new ( seems like most are) but after about 1000 rounds its become much smoother. Accuracy is much better too. Fortunately I don't have a compliant trigger.

Apex sells a spring kit only. If the pull is OK to you, except for the heavy pull, try swapping out the sear and trigger springs. You can also check some of the aftermarket spring makers, to see if they sell a stock trigger and sear spring. That would likely be the cheapest way to go, price wise. I haven't seen a stand alone trigger spring or sear spring. Usually you have to buy the full trigger assembly or sear assembly.

Why not see if someone on the Forum will sell you their stock sear and trigger spring. If they installed the Apex kit, they should not need the stock springs. The only issue with the Apex springs is that they are slightly heavier than the stock springs. The Apex springs produce about one pound more pull weight than using the stock springs, when installing the Apex kit. So just swapping the MA compliant springs with the Apex springs should net a pull around 7.5 pounds. The stock springs should net a pull around 6.5 pounds.
