I am new to the M&P's. I just bought a M&P 22 to take with me when hiking, fishing, and for an all purpose trail gun. I really like the feel of it and the way it fits my hand. From everything I've read, the M&P 22 is the same size as a full size M&P 9, M&P 40, and M&P 357. I am seriously considering buying a full size 40 or 357 auto for concealed carry. I bought a Bianchi Shadow pancake holster for my M&P 22 from Midway (it will be delivered tomorrow) and will use it for both the M&P 22 and the M&P 40 (if I buy it). I now carry a Ruger SP101 in a Bianchi Shadow holster and for concealed carry it works just fine. I leave my shirt untucked and you can't tell I'm carrying. Does anybody else here use a full size M&P for concealed carry and if so what kind of holster do you use? I guess this is a moot point since I will know how concealable the M&P 22 is tomorrow and if the M&P 22 is ok the full size M&P 40 should be ok also.

I used to carry my full size 40 until I had to have the 40C, I carry them both comfortably in a Blackhawk CQC Serpa Sportster Owb holster.
The 40C is easier to conceal than the FS obviously, however if I rotate the holster forward one click it was good to assist in the concealment of the FS.

Yes, in a home made kydex holster.

DITTO. It is not my daily carry piece but when I have to work late nights alone in iffy areas of town I will carry my FS MP.40. I'm not a large person, 5'6", 155lbs, but with my home grown ISWB Kydex holster and an untucked polo shirt concealment is not an issue. At 2lbs 4.7oz. loaded it gets feeling a little heavy after several hours on the hip though.

I carry a full size 45 in a Theis holster. Very comfortable.

I'm only 5'4", 145 and I cary my M&P9 full size in a Remora IWB holster and find it comfortable and fairly concealable with an untucked shirt. The holster allows wearing in multiple positions around the waist. I also carry in a Galco King Tuk once in a while but like the Remora better. When I can find one I am going to pick up a M&P 9 Shield. for summer wear carry. I also carry the M&P22 in the same holsters while hiking but carry the 9mm more often.

I'd suggest buying the M&P Shield 40, 40c, 40 4.25", 40 5" just to make sure that you have all options covered when leaving the house while only having to buy ONE type of ammo. Why 40 - make bigger hole in targets :)

My solution is Milt Sparks VM-2 or Kramer #3 IWB znc z very sturdy belt.

Hello, I am a oid and large person 6' 370 lbs. If you want a daily carry piece get a .40. I like the M&P , but I carry a Springfield XDM full size
.40 and I love it. From Ga. Robert
Have nice Day

I carry a full size M&P9 in a Crossbreed Supertuck and it's comfortable for me.

M&P 40 comfortable concealment!

I carry the FS M&P 40 daily with the "Cross Breed Super-Tuck" holster. This (IWB) holster is so comfortable I forget its there!

I used to carry a full size M&P 9mm or a 1911 until I got my 9c. Now that I have a Shield they dont get out much. I used a crossbreed supertuck for the most part with the FS.

Crossbreed supertuck with M&P9fs here. hardest part is the length of the grip, but a loose overshirt solves that. In terms of comfort, only reason you know it is there is the weight. I set it between 3-4:00, even for driving.

I have a IWB holster for my MP40FS and it works good with anything more than a white T-shirt. I bought a Ruger SR40C for better concealment but it is only a slight improvement. Go with the M&P40FS.

What size Remora holster are you guys using for your FS M&P? I love my Remoras for my BG360 & M60-9, but don't have one for my FS M&P40.
