I may be the only one in the entire world who feels this way, and I am admittedly not cool in any way, most especially not tactically, but I wish S&W would make a full size M&P pistol without the rail! Especially now that I own a Shield, and I like its looks so much...I wish it had a big brother without that goofy looking (to me) saw tooth on the front. If I want a light on my pistol, I put a candle on top of the slide... 
I've even thought about sending a M&P frame to one of the outfits that do grip reductions on polymer guns, and see about having the rail removed...just a smooth dust cover would look so good, IMO.
