I guess those on the S&W email list got the ad yesterday, like I did, for the Performance Center M&P 9mm Full-Size Polymer Carry Comp, SKU 14415. It's a Davidson's Exclusive so I don't know if it will be in limited supply or not? The online suppliers are showing no stock as of now.

I had been looking at the Full-Size Metal Carry Comp SKU 13987, but was turned off by some of the reviews - mainly slide locking back mid-magazine, loose front grip, and the high price. I haven't seen a review of the new Full-Size Polymer CC but it's MSRP is $200 less than the metal, and comes with optic height sights and 5 mags (3-17 & 2-23).

I bought the Shield Plus Carry Comp and was not impressed with it. It's a good flat shooter but not any better than my Shield Plus with ported barrel. I guess I was expecting more. I want to get my hands on a full-size version to see if it fits my hands and shoots better.

Does anyone have any input?

I bought the Compact version of the polymer Carry Comp and I really like it. I’ve been to the range twice now and have shot +/- 400 rounds of mixed FMJ and JHP with no malfunctions. It is producing really tight groups at 7yds, does best with 115 FMJ. Trigger had a gritty takeup at first but is smoothing out. With the compact polymer frame it is top heavy but not presenting a problem. I think the PC “magic” must be somewhere you can’t see. I’m very pleased. My Glock 19 now lives in the safe.

Do you CCW it? How does it carry?

I carry strong side 3-4 o’clock both IWB and OWB depending on how tight my pants are and how much time I’ll be in the car. Feels same as former Glock19. I’m 6’ 225#, 40 waist.

The one I call a beveled edge is in the pic below. All my previous Performance Center guns have had a beveled edge striker block until I got the Shield Plus PC Carry Comp.

S&W sent me the two in the pic below when I complained about a gritty trigger. Switching one for the square edge made a significant difference in my Carry Comp.

It looks like all the Carry Comps are coming with square edge striker blocks. I assume it's a cost cutting move by S&W - too many cases for it to be a mistake.
