Not too knowledgeable but …. Is that a K frame gun you have them on ? Any chance they could be for an N frame ? Do you have one to check them on?
I believe there are some Fuzzy experts on here who I'm sure will chime in.

I've found that a decent sized gap on a set of Farrants is pretty normal regardless of the frame size, but that one does seem pretty large. Maybe it was to allow for bedding them to a particular gun? Anyways, it certainly isn't uncommon in the ones I've come across. Here is a set I have on a Micro modified Colt Army Special, this is what I would consider a normal Farrant gap. Even with this gap, the fit is rock solid. One of the easiest ways to determine if a grip was made by Farrant or Hurst is to check the fit. Hurst grips tend to have a much better fit.
Fit to frame??? Hurst and Farrant look nothing alike.
Early Hogue v. Hurst v. Blackford can sometimes be difficult.
Farrant v. Stark is a big question mark.
The oddest story from OIF2 about Hurst was that one day Hurst was using his own revolver to fit a set of grips, so went on traffic duty with a sock stuck in his holster. I assume that was a flap holster...
I cant really make out the name serial looks like 12909, That was a bit ago.
Only Farrants I have are kind of a target type only have checkering on one side. I will see if I can dig them up.
