An old Fire Department comrade posted this on a social networking site this evening...
"I got an email from the Director of the Children's Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital thanking me. The kids there are not permitted to use electronic devices, so they play board games. The younger ones play Chutes and Ladders and Candyland, the middle ones play Checkers, Parcheesi, and Monopoly, the older ones play Stratego, Chess, and Risk. The game boards are all falling apart and the pieces are missing or lost. These are kids between 5 and 15, male and female, and are bald from radiation and vomit every day from chemotherapy treatment. Does anyone mind buying a board game so they have something to look forward to?

If you're inclined to help, you can shop at a store website or Amazon, and have the items you buy shipped directly to Hopkins.
Thanks for your consideration!
