Just found out they are building a store in my nearest town. I've dealt with the catalog but have never had the chance to go to one of their brick and mortar stores. 'Looking forward to it.

Tuscaloosa

One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know.
Then we tried to remove the tusks. The tusks. That's not so easy to say. Tusks.
You try it some time. As I say, we tried to remove the tusks. But they were embedded so firmly we couldn't budge them.
Of course, in Alabama the Tuscaloosa, but that is entirely ir-elephant to what I was talking about.

As a proud Yankee living in the South, don't expect much from a Yankee company operating in the South. Now when you go to Wisconsin (who is playing in their THIRD consecutive Rose Bowl), the store inventory is a much better selection -- don't know why -- leaste in Eau Claire.

The closest one to me sometimes has deals in the used gun racks, and used handgun case.
I check every time I go through.

Not too impressed with their new gun prices.

Good sales on hunting clothes and other stuff occasionally.

Don`t hold your breath hoping for somthing special. Most of the staff would not know an AK from a AR.The one near me had a local CH walk out with an AR under his coat about a year ago.

Well there goes the neighborhood. When they were still selling reloading supplies powder was twice what the local shops were selling it for. They discontinued reloading supplies here because sales were so slow. Gosh I wonder why. Don't waste your time

We have one here. They occassionally run sales on some things that make them somewhat affordable. They were overstocked on used guns and ran a sale a few weeks ago. They were taking offers. Jr. and I smoked em. They were high on some stuff but didn't have a clue on others. We bought others. A couple of examples include a 870 riot gun (parked with walnut stocks) for $125.00 and a minty 64-0 bull barrel (nice wood grips numbered to the gun) for $250.00 Some of the clothing is reasonable at the end of the season. Don't even try and buy ammo, especially since the panic has started. There's a certain hook I use for bass fishing that I can get on line for $2.50 for a pack of five. They sell theirs for $5.00. Shop around and don't impulse buy. Wait for the sales.

The only local GM that's still in business told me that the company was making components a catalog item only. I believe I've only bought a pound of powder off them, cause their price wasn't too bad and I was passing through. I did try to buy some match bullets from them when they were phasing out the components, but they were too dumb to drop prices. I offered to clean them out if they'd deal, but they wouldn't.

As Charlie says, watch for sales. I did get a nice dress hat there at a decent price.

GM opened here a few years back. Shiny new guns (I prefer old ones), limited inventory on shooting supplies and accessories, and sky high prices. I haven't been in the store in about 2 years.

A Cabela's is under construction about a mile from my workplace. Hoping it might be better. I still prefer small, hole in the wall gun shops. Big box stores are all about shoes and other nonsense. Give me a real gun shop.
