Last night I was checking ammo pricing on line at various retailers. Came across Ganders sale price of $89.99 for 250 pack of .38 special.

Went to the local store only to have it rung up at $99.99. I told them about the online price and after they verified it they made it right.

Good customer service policy, but you have to be aware of online pricing vs. in-store to protect yourself.

I stopped in the local Gander today. They rearranged the hunting and shooting supply area again. I walked around trying to figure out where everything was and finally asked where the reloading supplies were only to find out that they quit carrying any reloading stuff. Pistol ammo prices were higher than normal also, and inventory looked like it was cut in half. Pricing on used pistols was as high as new ones. Was afraid to price any long guns, which are all behind the counters now.

We had a gun auction here last month and the Gander Mountain folks were there bidding and buying. They bought most of the stuff at high prices and the regular dealers bought hardly anything. As mentioned above they are selling it high because they paid too much. Thankfully I can still find a few things locally.
