General information request on model 61

Am considering a model 61 that appears to be in excellent condition for $300. I don't have a clue about the history or worth of the model and wonder if its an offer I should pursue at that price.
Any input from you will be considered helpful. Thanks in advance.

It's about the going rate for a really nice one with the box and the soft case.

My experience with one was not positive - cycled but would not recock with firing. Kind of like having a mini slide action . Although others report theirs work fine, I would recommend agreeing to a return if it doesn't function.
