I was once told "there is nothing new under the sun". I wasn't very sure at the time what that really meant. As I lived my life the pieces all fell into place about exactly what that meant. I came to figure out that no matter what the technology, no matter what new discoveries we came across, there will always be those that try and rule another because of arrogance, power and monetary gain. The Founders understood that very well with people like Franklin, the Adams', Jay, Madison etc... So in their recognition that there is really nothing new under the sun as far as man's behavior toward each other is concerned we will always have a way to protect our freedoms and this is the way they gave us. The US Constitution.

The US Constitution is and idea that has behind the most successful and prosperous nation the earth has ever seen. Are we perfect? No. Is the Constitution perfect? No, but they also gave a reasonable and well thought out way to change the things that needed to be changed like Presidents overstaying their welcome and or usefulness. The US Constitution also assured our right to keep and bear arms to keep those at bay that would try to rule us instead govern us with our consent.

I had a scathing retort but decided that this buffoon did not merit further consideration.

Sounds to me like he's renouncing citizenship. Ship his butt off to GTMO.

The academy has always had its share of bizarre perspectives. Looney tunes professors aren't new. But I find it disturbing that mainstream media (New York Times, and more recently, network television) is giving serious airing to this man's lawless ideas. The breakdown of law, reason and liberty have accelerated profoundly under the leadership of the current administration. This is the Progressive way. In such circumstances, the rights recognized by the 2A are more important than ever.

I have not watched the tape, but the transcript shows that he's a Wilsonian/Roosevelt x 2/Obama Progressive. They all believe(d) that the Constitution should be ignored at the whim of the Executive.

Wilson was probably the worst of the lot. Largely because of him, we have the Federal income tax, and U.S. Senators who have little,to no, allegiance to their respective states. He would never have been president had T. Roosevelt not turned traitor to the Republican party. Had Taft been re-elected in 1912, there would have been no income tax, the Senate would have remained a bastion of states rights, and we probably wouldn't have gotten involved in "The Great War". And as far as FDR goes; well...

Read the following book, written by Judge Andrew Napolitano - "Theodore and Woodrow"

If you haven't been converted to conservatism/libertarianism after reading this, you're a lost soul!
