Opened last weekend. Around 2:00 p.m. today a friend had a fourth trespasser/poacher arrested on his farm. Two other hunters got away last week when they were spotted by the farrier. Two retired men who keep beehives on the farm ran up on the young man trying to pick ticks off of himself. The beekeepers gave chase and caught him within sight of the property line.

He has been trespassing steadily since October 2018, and has dozens of photos taken by trail cameras.

The ticks on that farm carry the enzyme that causes alpha-gal syndrome. I reckon his meat eating days will be over.

Nothing worse than a trespasser. I had one ticketed and took him to court 2 yrs ago down at my cabin. But the (female) judge treated me like some land Barron city slicker and he the poor ole country boy. The DEC officer (game warden) has had run ins with everyone in his family and referred to them as trash. I tend to agree. Anyway, due to overwhelming trailcam evidence he was found guilty. Between fines and surcharges he COULD HAVE been dinged for $350. It cost him $100. BUT he has not been back. I can't even find a track. But that probably has more to do with me beating on his door telling him to come out. Naturally he did not.
