I use Georgia Arms for some of my plinking loads (357 Sig, 9mm, 45), and find their stuff to be very good.

They come up to the Richmond VA. show, so I can save on shipping - that helps a little. :)

Let us know how it shoots,
Bob S.

I've used it.

It is a good approximation of the old LE load put out by the major manufacturers when the .41 was young. I have never had any problems with any of the georgia arms ammo and have used it for years.

Thanks for the feedback guys, hopefully the backorder won't be too long of a wait and the price was very reasonable for factory loaded 41 ammo.

I have been Sheriff for 17, almost 18 years, and we have been using GA Arms ammo for training and their Master Cartridge brand for duty the entire time. Our entire state training academy system has been using it, as well as MANY agencies across the state. We have burned hundreds of thousands of 9mm, 38, 40, 45 ACP, 45 GAP, 5.56 and 7.62 ammo from them. We might have gone over the hundreds of thousands mark into the 6 figures. I didn't keep count, but we buy 50-60 K rounds at a time.
The Federal LE Training Center in Brunswick uses the same ammo, as does the Georgia State Patrol.
I say all that to say this.....
Ga Arms makes good ammo.....I have toured the factory, and I have done business with the same people the whole time. Larry at GA Arms is a man of his word, and will do his best to get your ammo to you as fast as he can.
Buy with confidence, I do all the time, not only with my money, but with taxpayers money as well...and I don't waste either....

My brother bought some .41 Magnum LSWC loads from Georgia Arms many years ago. We shot it up in my Smith M57 and his (now mine) Ruger Redhawk .41. It shot fine. If I didn't reload I'd probably be buying GA ammo for my .41s.

I went to the Richmond VA. gun show yesterday, and sure enough, Georgia Arms had 4 50 round bags of their "Cowboy" 41 Mag. load (210 gr lead SWC, 800 fps). I picked up 2 bags - and 30 minutes later when I thought I should get more, the other bags were already gone.

I'll find out tomorrow night how they shoot - I'll let you know.

Take care,
Bob S.

Update, called today to check on order and they did have once reloaded brass 41 swc ammo available so I said send me that besides its a little cheaper. 100 rounds shipped for $51.50.

Hmmm... the stuff they sold me was listed as "Factory New", and was $22.00/50 - but no shipping as this was at a show.

I'm heading out right now to shoot my 657 for the first time - I'll let you know how it does.

Take care,

The women at Georgia arms said this was once reloaded brass and that they guaranteed it , it was only four dollars cheaper than the "factory new" and they had it to ship so I figured why not. Bob let me know how ya make out with yours and have fun shooting.

Well - they shoot real nice out of my 657! It's a mild load, I guess what most folks would consider a "41 Special" load, but in a full length case.

I shot it next to my 4" 625 JM using WWB 45 ball ammo, and the recoil was about the same - maybe even a little less with the 41 mag.

I didn't have a lot of time before my class - so I only got to shoot at 10 yards - standing, no support. The group on the left (6 shots) was how the sights were set by the previous owner, and the group on the right (12 shots) was after a bit of adjustment...

The ammo wasn't *real* dirty to shoot either - I'll buy more.

So - I like my little 3" 657 so far - now to load up some ammo and see what she'll do.

Take care,
Bob S.
