Getting close to a 15-22

My guy has a couple 15-22's for $417 OTD. I may take the plunge, assuming the issues have been dealt with.
This may be a birthday present to my 15yo nephew, in any event. Think he'll like a used mini-AR?

Best price I've seen is $419 at a gun show for the threaded barrel version, but you also had to add tax so, $417 is looking pretty good! Is that Ladder 13 out of Manhatten?
