Well, I had 2 promag bodies that looked and worked almost 100% like my factory 15rd mag.

I could just not get it to feed reliably even though all the measurements taken from them appeared to be spot on.

Till I swapped out the follower with an orange one from the factory stainless mag.

BINGO! 100% reliable and holds the slide open reliably 100% of the time.

I order a few more for my other promag bodies and they are all good to go.

Total investment was not too bad. $3 for the follower, $2 for a new spring, and some range time. 2nd hand promag 15rd mags were only $18 each when I had bought them.

Anyhow, for those in need, they work when factory mags are impossible to find.

I have done the same thing with Sig magazines. You might also want to replace the springs if you have not done so. My homemade Sig mags have been working fine for maybe 20 years and many thousands of rounds.

This is very helpful. I have four magazines that I think are Pro Mag, but I'm not sure since there are no markings on them. I know that they are not OEM or Mec Gar magazines.

The two for my 3914 work fine, but I still don't trust them. The two for my 457 will not allow the gun to fire in double action mode, only single action.

I'm going to try this. Can you tell me from where you ordered the followers and springs?

I got my springs from Wolff and I used factory followers which I got from Sig. I found later on that it was not always necessary to replace the followers.

I got my followers from MidwayUSA when I bought a few extra. I already had a stainless "LEO" mag with the orange follower.

I had on order a half dozen mag springs from WOLFE and just needed the followers to complete the setup.

Aside from the windows being swapped around, they are just like factory mags. AND NO DATE STAMP!!!

I have some base plates on order as well... just in case. ;)
