Second time at the range I did much better then the first time. Got a couple of nice groupings. Had one jam but was shooting WWB.

After we got done I dropped off my Shield with the gunsmith. Having XS Sights put on it and the trigger polished out. Ordering Talon grips for it as well. Will be done in about a week feel naked without it. Don't peek! lol

Good deal!

I've been considering the XS sights myself. For a gun like the Shield these seem like a great option.

CONGRATS.

I got my Shield first of August. about a month later, I bought TruGlo TFO BriteSites and had them gunsmith installed. (The LGS I bought the Shield from told me he would install new sights for free. When I came to him to do it, he suddenly can't because he didn't have the "Shield sight removal tools... they're very expensive and no one asks me for that service. " hmm. What could I do, argue with him?

Funny, I go 20 min away to a gunsmith, he used a brass punch and a hammer, not any fancy sight tools, and did it perfectly professional. And of course he had them sighted perfectly, the gun shoots like a laserbeam now. And it all worked out because even though it cost me $40 + tax, nearly 45? bucks to pay for the installation, it allowed me to meet a local, master gunsmith who is also an Army special ops veteran and is actually a really cool dude, so to me it was worth it.

I decided against any trigger upgrades or work, as I also felt with my Glock, as they are primarily defense guns and strictly combat guns, not performance pistols or competition etc. One thing I would do is, if LaserMax ever makes a Green guide rod laser for the Shield, I will get that definitely, i think that would be awesome.

Congrats again, I settled on the Shield but knew it was still a gamble buying it and it was certainly possible I wouldn't like it etc. Which I do not like it; I LOVE IT- It is the luckiest purchase in firearms I have made, it is the perfect gun. Pretty much perfection for an EDC pistol.
