It's practically in my backyard and so I went to the gun show over in Gettysburg. I think it does pretty well for a show in a small city. It looked like a pretty good crowd was there. Maybe since the temperature outside was approaching freezing rather than approaching zero a lot of people decided to get out of the house and come to the gun show.

One thing I noticed about this gun show was the diminished presence of the "tacticool" arms and accoutrements. Maybe the market has become saturated.

I did have a great temptation. A gentlemen had a Charter Arms Explorer .22 semi-auto pistol, the model that looks like a sub-caliber training arm for the Broomhandle Mauser. I had one in the past but had to sell it when I had a job loss. The price was fair, and this is such a cool looking gun. However, I had to walk away, because staring me in the face was the price of some costly dental work that I had just undergone and would be continuing in the future. Medicare doesn't pay for dental work, so buying a new gun was just a pipe dream today. But it was great to get out to a gun show and maybe this pistol will show up again.
