This weekend, April 24/25/26 will be the biggest GUN SHOW in the state of Wyoming.
Sponsored by the Gillette Gun Club it will be held in the CAMPLEX Expo building. This is what I believe to be the largest free standing building
in the state.
There will be about 425 tables, wide aisles, food vendors and lots of guns gear and according to Marty Brown (show chairman) "No Flea Market junk at this show"
Open Friday night until 7PM. Saturday 9-5. Sunday 9-3.
Looks like rain on Saturday and Sunday, so come in where it is dry.
Adjacent to ND/SD/MT and all points in WY. Closer to Miles City, MT than Rapid City, SD.
Free parking on paved lots.
See you there...Look for Debbie's Pink Rifle and Pistol Cases.

Sounds like a great show. I will be heading to the Nations Gun Show, in Chantilly, Virginia this weekend. I hope to get lucky!!!

I also wouldn't mind meeting you Jerry. I just might be there saturday.

Thom,

I know you have good and fair deals; from past dealings.

BUT, just to far to drive from western Kentucky.

Have a GREAT show.

If there is anyone in the area sitting on the fence about going to this show, there are usually several guys that have some nice S&Ws for sale. The last show even had a couple of
triple-locks.

Now it looks like I may not make it until Sunday Morning. I was told I was going Turkey hunting and can't get out of it. Anybody that wants to meet up and BS awhile we can get together at Thoms tables Sunday morning.

I just hope you guys don't buy up all the good stuff before then.

Looks like the grandson and I might be there. He's kind of into nerf guns at this point in time.

Gillette show

I'll be there on Saturday..looking to score more cr...er junk. BTW..if anyone over there is looking for some Tightgroup powder..I have 10 lbs I want to sell..No longer use it. Also have 4 or 5 cans of Clays..I don't reload 12 ga any longer .Will also trade for S&Ws...LOL

If anybody sees a Pre 29 4 inch with original presentation box let me know, thanks & have fun.

S&W Forum Members in WY, Debbie and I will be in the North West Corner against the wall. Just look for the Flamingo Pink Rifle and Pistol Cases...that is us. Everybody is welcome to use it for a rally point and drop off station for stuff they don't want to lug around.
Dick Kohler, Randy and Jerry will all be there at some point in time.
See you there.

Went to this show..bought a few little things...BUT... to be really honest most prices of guns was wwwaaayyyy over the hill. There were some fair prices but where do some of the "vendors" get the idea for their pricing??

I do about 10 shows a year as a vendor and can say yep..I over price a few things. When I do it is an eye candy type of thing..meaning just a draw piece to get people to look. Don't want to sell it anyway... and will tell potential buyers that. Last time I saw a 1000 dollar used field grade 1100 Remington was never..till yesterday. I looked at the guy's wares and all the guns were similarly overpriced. 80% of the guns were the same way. A couple I looked at elsewhere were reasonably priced like a stainless 629(actually nickel) for 750...till you picked it up and it had an 1/8 in play side to side in the cylinder. There were a few vendors that were reasonably priced and a friend bought a new Remington 1911 from him for a very fair price(I'm jealous). He also had a nice S&W 27 I wanted but my money was running low at that point... so just couldn't do it. Luckily I have enough 22 ammo and still can't believe it is "worth" 60 dollars a brick of 500 rounds. Otherwise I did well on small stuff and even got a decent set of N frame targets for 10 bucks. Oh well, Is overpriced stuff a sign of the times ?? I still had a good time and met some friends. Kinda wish now I had sucked it up and used up all my cash to buy that 27. I really need a 3 1/2 inch one. LOL

My favorite was the old Ruger standard .22 pistol with no finish left. I thought the tag said $150.

Nope. It was $450.

Hated to walk away, but I forced myself.

Did not buy any thing as I feel the pries were too high. I did however get to see 2 guns that I have never seen in person, only photos. One a S&W model 22 and the other a Marlin lever action .410 shotgun. Very interesting.
