Glad I left Kandahar Airfield before the Flooding

I had to share this with you all. When I was leaving no one wanted to move into the barracks I was in. Each room had 6 people in it. They all preferred living in the TENT. So I saw this and automaciaaly thought of them swimming to work!!!

There is another report (maybe over on the sigforum) that it wasn't just rain and water. That report was that the deluge caused the "poo pond" to burst, filling the streets with, um, poo.

I actually had "lakefront property on the Poo Pond!! Living directly downwind of untreated sewage probably did not help my health!!!!! Oh, it gets better, the new Headquarters building is real near to it also!!

I was so happy the day I flew out of KAF to head home. I despise that place. Looking at those pics, I thought of the open sewage ditches over on the west side of the airfield by the water treatment facility. They must have all overflowed into the streets and barracks nearby, I bet that side of the base smells great right now.
