You mean that horrible |___| shaped white outline rear sight? I painted these out. When I owned Glocks. No more.

Sights for sore eyes
I have several Glocks and I don't consider their front or rear sights to be their strong suit. I like Trijicon and Truglo--Truglo recently came out with their best:BRITE•SITE™ HANDGUN SERIES (TRITIUM / FIBER OPTIC) for the M&P. I have them already on my Springfield Xdm 45 and love em. If I can't aquire a target with them, I need a cane and a dog. They're a bit better than the fine Trijicons, I feel.
Don't get me wrong--there are a lot of sights out there and everyone is different--these are just what my friends and most certainly myself, lean towards.
For lasers, laser/tactical light, I don't think anyone can touch Veridian brand green lasers and I love, love, their subcompact C5L--that puppy can be seen on the sunniest Georgia day--at the beach, I can make out that green bead on on a green leaf 20 yards away. The subcompact Veridian also has a pretty high lumens, multi settable tactical light and the whole thing fits even (most) sub compacts w/o extending beyong the muzzle--looks very tidy. You need a rail set up--Kimber Solo & Glock 27 don't apply--no rails on them. Again, I like Trijicon and Truglo up top there, and perhaps Crimson Trace's applications--I do like the subcompact M&P w/ the CT set up--it feels right--although I wish the laser were green and the Veridian fits great for that purpose. (CT's got a $50 rebate through June 30th, 2011)
Green lasers are more complex, produce more heat and you don't want to buy the cheapest ones. There are some really good prices if you shop around--even on Veridian.
I can swap the s.c. Veridian between full sized and sub compact pistols very quickly and it holsters well with available (non orig. manuf. stock) holsters. Crimson Trace makes a fine product/s, but when it comes to sights and lasers, I am green color all the way--read up and you'll realize that the human eye sees green spectrum color in these applications much more easily than other colors. It makes accurately aquiring a target that much faster. Even Crimson Trace is going to green lasers on their latest tactical rifle lasers--look for more to follow.
Not everyone likes lasers and no one should get too reliant on them. Might sound redundant and it is expensive, but I usually put better sights up top and sometimes a removable, but accurate laser below. My 5 foot tall, 90 pound Filipina wife refuses to use any laser and still shoots almost TOO well (ha ha), even with my full sized 45's--she's the most consistent shooter I know--her habits, body language--ergonomic movements so consistent, regardless of firearm--women.....!

I agree with Rangel. I just had a set of Tru Glo TFO's installed on my M&P9 full size. I've been shooting for over 50 years and they're the best sights that I ever used.
