Goats; Little Angels or Devil's Spawn?

I milked goats from the age of 5 to 14. [1959-1968] I miss them like a hemorrhoid attack.
My neighbor has 4 that he uses to pack in to hunting camp. He has good fences which is a need with the silly things. I also had a friend whose daughter ran a business. At it's peak, she owned 40 goats she rented out to rodeo ropers as practice flocks. She would take them back in the fall. It worked surprisingly well for a 16 year old.

We had a Pygmy goat of some sort when I was in high school. Dang thing loved to be on the roof of my car, an unrestored 1958 Chevrolet. When the car went in for referb, the goat went to a neighbor's farm.
They like to climb on anything (including people.) My neighbours have a huge boulder in their front field, and their goats like to climb on it. Years ago I took my small excavator over to do some work and during a break they climbed up into the cab.

And in Coombs, on Vancouver Island, they've had goats on the sod roof of The Old Country Market for 50 years, initially to clear the grass off the roof, but they soon became a tourist attraction in themselves.

"What if we put goats on the roof?"
It was the weekend of the Coombs Fall Fair and the grass was getting rather long.
Legend has it that, after a few glasses of wine, Larry suggested that they 'borrow' some goats to 'mow' the grass and perhaps provide some entertainment for passing cars. Needless to say, the goats became an instant hit with locals and tourists alike.
'Goats On Roof' has become one of the top tourist destinations in British Columbia, an honour that we owe to our loyal customer base and to our dedicated staff (including the goats!).

I am rather partial to goats :) Although a few times the neighbours' goats would escape and once they wandered down the street and discovered the apple trees in my drivewway and embarked on a feeding frenzy:

I went out and yelled at them but they ignored me. Eventually I was able to shoo them back up the road and into their own field.
