I saw one new for $860 at a shop and one used for about the same at a gun show. Both were about 5 months ago.

I paid $1006 in early April - $942 last week - for my pair - both with s/t - same ma/pa store - and with the same ill-fitting Eagle boots. Those grips are too small anyway - the Ahrends retro targets - or rounded non-fg - both cocobolo - they sport below are great.
Why two? I was going to buy a 327NG - it was only a few bucks less - and no eased charge holes - not moonclip ready - and it's ten ounces lighter doesn't matter to me - I like the 627's heft. I had just sold my beloved 5" JM PC627 V-Comp... even the CFO said 'Spend it on a gun!'. I love that revolver - great trigger - nice features. The +P 158gr LHPSWC's are all you need for home, etc, protection - and eight at a time is nice! If you have medium+ mitts, like me, figure on new grips, however - those Eagle boots, gaps or not, are awfully small. Kind of an oxymoron - boot grips on an N-frame!
