Gone done got another Shield

Stopped by my fave gunshop/pawn and low and behold on the shelf sporting a red used tag was an unused Shield 45, case, 4 Xtra cap mags. Price marked is $325

Got to haggling and 10 .in later I got it for $250+tax.

To make things even more pleasant, in their used mag bin were 7 23rd M&P 9 mags. Designed for their new carbine but works splendid with my 9c 15&17rd pistol. Oh yeah, used mags are $10 each so $70 for 7 mags that retail at $44 each, I'm happy.

Now I. Deciding on whether or not to keep one of my Shield 9 2.0, ah decisions

They had a new m&p 5.7 for $640 but I'm gonna hold out a bit and see what the used market spits out. Good thing I stocked up on 5.7 amm0 pre pandemic, have about 12k now of various make, most of it FN, according to a.mo logs I paid no more than 15 a box. Today I asked how much and the guy, with a straight face said $57 a box.

You know, I've never been much of a fan of the 40S&W, but after getting my 1st Shield 40 and having put 1k rounds through it, I ended up getting 3 more and I'm never gonna give it a second thought.
