Good Accurate Ammo

Just wanted to see what everyone's experience was with ammo accuracy out of the m&p10? I've heard to stay away from the Matech/CBC stuff. Other than that Looking for both plinking ammo as well as good sub moa ammo.

Stuff that i've tried so far that's been consistantly sub moa (as long as i don't screw it up):
Privi 168gr match
FGMM 168gr
Freedom Munitions 168gr match

Stuff i've tried that is good ammo but not consistantly sub moa (closer to about 2-3moa):
Fiocchi 150gr
Privi 145gr

Curious about anything else you guys have tried?

Federal blue box or brown box from WallyWorld has been very good hunting ammo, and is affordable....... when you can find it. It shoots MOA, or close to it.
I have found the Hornady HPBT in 168 is about as good as accuracy gets. I really prefer ballistic tips for hunting, and the Federal ballistic tip ammo in 165 is stellar ammo.
I have some Hornady 'green' ammo, and believe it or not- I do not like it much at all. Shoot it, it hits the animal, goes straight thru said animal, and just keeps on going. Hog now has a .30 hole in it, and he takes off running. And, barely bleeding. The ammo is accurate enough, but is too stout and does not expand well unless you hit a shoulder or hip squarely. But a rib shot was not nearly what I had expected; not enough expansion left the hog very injured, but far from dead and down.
Winchester XPII has also been good ammo for hunting. Pretty accurate, and VERY clean in the bore. A treat to shoot.

I just cant afford to go buying factory ammo and I have been searching high and low for reloading components...I load for everything I shoot, I honestly don't know how other folks can afford to feed their arms with out doing so.
That being said Hornady White-tail 150gr is giving me 1-1.25 moa @ 100 I have been hearing good things about heavier bullets.

If you can find the Federal at WallyWorld, it goes for about $17-19 a box. It's not free, but it is very close to reloading cost when done on a small scale at home. 150's are good, 165 are best, 180 are good.
The Winchester XPII goes for around $23 at Wallyworld. Again, when you can find it........

Yea I can find ammo to shoot...but If I want to SHOOT I need premium ammo either factory or hand-loaded, and that get pricey, unless I can load it myself

Well, with the .243 Federal soft tips, 100 gr. sold at WalMart for a mere $17 a box, I dropped a 'yote at 670 yards a month ago. My farthest shot. It's good 'out of the box' ammo. The 150gr does deer and hogs just fine, so far with shots to 200yds, from the 30-06 and the 308.
If you are trying to one-hole targets, then you need to really look into a purpose built rifle; the bone stock 16" barrel AR is not really going to get you where you want to be without some massive changes and reworking of the rifle.
If you wanna ding 12" steel at 150 yds like a kid with a .22 on a watermelon in summertime, this ammo will do it for you, for FAR less than say Black Hills match grade. With very, very similar results.

Not arguing with you at all...most people cant hold 1" groups at 100 with bags...

..I expect that this platform should hold moa at 600 easy (6" pattern at 600yds) using factory ammo in the 150gr range

With proper bullet selection, I believe I can ring steel @ 1000 these guns are said to prefer 175-178gr which could take them to the 1000yd mark

Now sure, I could buy, or build a bench-rifle bolted to a railroad tie...but that just doesn't do much for me and I cant pack that through the bush stalking a trophy wall-hanger, this thing however, @~10lbs I can.

I may never get it to hit 1000, or even 600, but I also believe that's more to do with me than the gun, but I need good ammo to find out and where I live there is quite a surcharge to go looking for the right supplies whether its in gas or hazmat charges

my experience

PPU 145gr fmj-bt fires consistently and groups seem ok, but so far i have only gone to 100yd with it.

Brown Bear 140gr softpoint fires consistently but i couldn't get any decent groups even at 100yd. I carefully opened a new box and looking at closely it all the points are dented different ways, probably from manufacturing or packing, so its probably not surprising it doesn't fly straight.

Hornady Steel Match 155gr bthp i had a bit of trouble with feeding, maybe too much friction with steel case in magazine, but when it fired it grouped nicely.

PMC Bronze 147gr fmj-bt also seems to fire consistently, though i have only done a couple magazines of it so far and was having scope problems so don't know how it groups.

CBC BALL M80 7.62x51 fmj won't feed reliably.
