Was playing with my 15-3 the other day and it turns out the hammer/trigger surfaces are in severe negative angle. Meaning if I cock it and press on the hammer. It drops. Opened it up and there's nothing I can do. Some "gunsmith" along the way filed the faces too much and they can't be brought back.

Alas my only option is to replace the hammer and trigger. Trying to find a good source to get factory new or used parts. Has the longer spur hammer and the extra wide grooved target trigger. Both color case hardened

Anyone have any leads?

Sadly they only have a hammer stop lever ☹

Remember the model 15 shares lockwork with several other Smiths, digging deeper into that is almost guaranteed to come up with what you need on ePay.
Failing that and willing to spend the money Also search under
"parts kit" and you'll find most of a gun less frame. In the same vein Everygunpart.com are body-snatchers, making a killing cutting up guns from "buybacks", evidence, and the like. Prices are pretty high but they do sometimes have just what one needs.

Years ago there was method to revamp the hammer and trigger surfaces using a type of super glue. I haven't seen this method used in many years.

Yeah I looked at the prices. Nearly 100 each per part after shipping.

Just tig welded both faces with a 1.6mm rod. Then used some polishing stones to file them down and recut the locking groove.

Tested her out. No slippage 😁 now to just fine tune it so the trigger doesn't feel like a hi point haha
