The powder is fine. The metal cans were around till the later 80s I think. 231 is still made as is 540 as it is simply HS 6. Ball powders don't degrade very easily. Heck I have Win powders from the 60s in metal cans. Win 230 630 680 and 295...made before Win reformulated their powders. Even have DuPont 700X from before it was reformulated. As far as the gas check bullets...there were 200 of em..not like I traded 500. I do have at least a 1000 358 156 cast GC bullets too.
