Got a rainbow today.

Nice shot Kurusu. Have to be in the right place at the right time, with a camera. I recently shot the attached rainbow while out delivering auto parts. Happened to have my cell handy..

Cameras and the digital "film" are so much better than the 80's when I took a class in photography. Back then capturing a rainbow was marginal at best, so we had filters with a rainbow on it that we imposed in the picture.

In the OP picture you can see a difference on the two sides of the rainbow. That won't be there in a fake!

Good shot!

I took both of these in Palm Springs, California. The shot of the bike was taken while my wife was driving. I wasn't going to shoot it, but my wife insisted. I'm glad she did!

Funny you say that. Because it was a double rainbow. But by the time I got my camera out(I just went for a smoke at the balcony) the one on the left had vanished.

Here's both ends of a double rainbow I captured a few weeks ago from my backyard. A couple of interesting things to note, the inside of a rainbow is always brighter than the outside due to light being refracted into that area, and with a double rainbow, the area between the rainbows is always darker, and the colour order in the second rainbow is opposite of the primary.

Just noticed. If you look carefully at the left of the rainbow in my picture you may still see traces of the second rainbow.
