Early in the evening we had a fast moving, unexpected storm blow through. We were expecting thunderstorms but not that severe. One block north of me power poles went down and two houses losts some of their roof. Several buildings had structural damage including two highschools.
We had wind driven hail, some between golf ball and tennis ball size. Our roof lost no shingles but I am sure it was damaged. Two shutters were torn off, screens were damaged, one large tree was uprooted and a big papershell pecan tree was about half delimbed. It sounded like the hail might come through the windows but didn't. We didn't lose power but lost TV and computer. Just got both back a few hours ago.
I have been known to make some disparaging comments about TV but I found that I really do not want to do without it. Of course I may change my mind if the news from Washington keeps getting worse or if the so called Fairness Doctrine gets reinstated.
