Got my Shield today

Dropped by the candy store to pick up my Springfield Trophy Match on Thursday. After paying for it my salesman Jan comes out with the little blue box with a 9mm Shield in it. We have one my wife carries and I had mentioned I wanted one and this is the only one they have got in the two months or so since we bought hers. Went back today and it was still there and Jan had it out of the case and handed it to me so I had to bring it home because my fingerprints were already on it. Taking it to the range tomorrow to break it in with the help of one of my daughters. She is just starting out shooting and I hope she likes the Shield, just not too much.

My Shield has become pretty much my only summer carry piece. It's small and conceals well, but it's still an M&P, meaning it handles like it's bigger brothers. It's dependable right out of the box and you'll put good groups downrange in no time. No accuracy destroying long trigger pulls like most compact semi-autos and DA only revolvers. Thinking seriously about saying good-bye to my Bodyguard 38+p. Don't carry it since the Shield came home.
