just purchase a stainless steel governor, I like it so far except for the moon clips for using 45acp. dealer was out of 45lc but hope to pick up some today to try. in doing my first cleaning I see what looks like a ring around the inside of the cylinder chambers, is that something for the lc rounds?

That is normal, mine has always had that. What's wrong with moon clips? I love being able to shoot ACP and its VERY accurate with both LC and ACP.

But yeah, the rings halfway down the chamber are normal.

Get yourself a 45 caliber bore snake on amazon, makes cleaning the gun much easier.

yeah,i have boresnakes. they are ok, but I found that running patches through after them still removes lots more. they are good for a quick cleaning but not very thorough.

maybe the moon clips will loosen up with use but at least the first couple times it is hard to get the rounds in them and even harder to get the empty brass out.

Moon clip tools and demooner tools are amazing. I have both

You got a cheap snake then, too. Mine cleans way better than patches and when i do run a patch, there's nothing on it after the bore snake got done with it.

I strip the brass out of moon clips with my multitool needlenose pliers. They are always with me anyway.

Groo here
Get a demooner [order from Ranch products when you get your clips,
$35 per hundred].
Use the pliers to insert in clips.
DONE
