SASABERANGER
SWCA Member, Absent Comrade
Several members and friends have been sending inquiries about Miss Abbie.
She has survived the double transplant of heart and kidney in 9/2009 and the replacement limb for her lower leg that was amputated in 12/2008 when they plugged the dialysis machine into the wrong spot.
She is now a very vibrant and healthy eight year old. The school where she is a first grader does everything necessary to get her back on track. She is the teachers' pet and they watch over her like a hawk.
Right now she is just learning how to be a normal little girl and do the things little girls her age do.
Unknown to Abbie and Andrew Grand Ma Debbie will knock on the door shortly after they return from school today and stay until the 28th.
Two weeks ago Abbie and family were all sent to Sea World Orlando and Disney World compliments of Make a Wish Foundation. She got the trip when it was not known if she would ever get out of ICU, and was just recently cleared to go by the medical staff.
Debbie and I want to thank the extended S&W family that has prayed for Abbie and kept her in your thoughts all of this time and let everybody know that the prayers worked.
We hope that each and every one of you are equally blessed this Christmas Season. Please stay warm and safe.
Thank you all.
