How many were made? I remember seeing them at my dealer's in the mid 1990s. I saw one (NIB) at the AGCA show in Birmingham this weekend. The dealer wanted $429 for it.
Don't know how many, but I had one of the first. Took a couple of trips back to get it reliable, and the trigger was never as good as current models can be after polishing. Unless you just want it as part of a collection (?) I'd pass on the overpriced novelty. I sold mine for $150 and bought a current model.
I have one and I'm looking to pick up another. I don't know much about the gray and the reasoning for the color but I like the look of the gray and stainless and I prefer not having the rail on it too. I got mine about 8 years ago from a friend for a hundred bucks. I know I'll have to pay more to get another one and that's ok I don't mind.
