I was watching a video and the guy cleaning his gun had a what looked like a hyperdermic needle to apply grease into the slide rails channels I currently use Mobile 1 grease and have it in a plastic needle looking thing, but the mouth of it isn’t as fine as a needle and it doesn’t fit into the channels.

I know some companies sell grease already in an applicator, but not only do I never see that in any store near me, but the tube of Mobil 1 that I already have will last me, my children, and their children’s lives.

My TW25B comes in a refillable needle. I was looking in vain for an empty needle to refill with my existing lube stock. Bought the TW product for it's applicator, then liked it so much because it didn't run when hot, that I switched brands.

Where do you get it?

I've struggled with the best way to apply Slip2000 EWG. During one session, using a toothpick, the light went on. I took one of my wife's tiny, flat hobby paint brushes and life hasn't been the same since. It perfectly distributes the grease. The brush, which cost about a buck, seems like it will outlast me.

Brownell's sells needle lube applicators. I don't know if it would work with grease, but it might be worth checking out.

I like the brush trick jeppo mentioned, both to distribute oil and grease. But you can buy plastic syringes in different sizes at any vet supply and most stores like Tractor Supply. If the hole in the tip is a bit small for grease, just trim it a bit shorter to leave a larger opening to allow grease to flow more easily. I like ladies makeup brushes in different sizes really well. Shorter but soft fine bristles in a flatter configuration work best for me. I have cleaned and repurposed discarded ones from my wife’s supply, with permission of course. She now asks me if I want any she is ready to replace. Do not under any circumstances use your wife’s brushes and return them to her kit!!!

I do not grease my firearms, but I do oil them

I have always used the Hypo. They offer a blunt tip version so it can not be used to do injections nor will it accidentally break the skin.

You can buy them from Amazon

I buy a box of 100 from the medical supply company every few years.

I have had good service with Wilsons Liquid Grease. It comes in a plastic bottle with a small applicator tip.Midway carries it.

They sell small plastic bottles with a hollow needle tip to be used for injecting air into nightcrawlers for bottom fishing. Would one of those work?

I don't normally use grease, but for Oil I use a large size vintage (circa 1940's) glass hypodermic needle. You can probably get them on ebay or maybe from a retired Doctor. I find the plastic ones do not last long with oil, but the vintage glass ones have different kind of seals that don't deteriorate like the newer ones do. I've had mine filled with Synthetic Gun Oil for years and it still works well. Since I never dulled the needle, I do have to be careful not to stick myself. I do like the pointy sharp end to get into small thin crevasses and use this on manny things - not just guns.

If you want to use grease, you can buy one from Brownell's or use a plastic medical hypo without the needle tip because I don't believe most greases will make it through a needle as they are usually too thick.

I saw it used by the gunsmith at my range and he said he gets it from Amazon, so that's where I got mine from. It is easily refillable from the plunger side, and the body rotates to close off the flow.
