Has anyone seen the series "Fortitude"?
As far as I know, only available on disc. Two seasons. Sorta a cross between Masterpiece Theater, "30 Days of Night" and "The Thing" with a touch of Sherlock Holmes thrown in. A joint BBC and Norwegian production. Takes place in the town of Fortitude in Norway==most northern city in the world and managed under a joint agreement between Norway and Great Britain. Seven to eight hundred people: miners, fishermen and arctic researchers. Great photography; polar bears are a constant threat (Lot's of firearms evident!). Involves a parasite that arises from a thawed mammoth and political plots, a few murders. Season Two continues and concludes Season One but more political.
Wife and I binge-watched it this weekend. Loved it!
Clue: have a sweater handy!
