I read a thread here on some 3913's for sale from Netballistics, or iAmmo.com. (I can't find the thread now) I decided to check them out as I've been on the prowl for one. Their site shows a 3913 NL for quite a decent price, and I've REALLY wanted an NL, thinking I'd likely never find one at a decent price. Like others who have never heard of iAmmo previously, I was cautious and decided to do a bit of checking.
I called Terry, the owner, at their business number, and had a great conversation with him. These pistols were initially sold to Israel, and sold back just like police trade-ins. He gave me his personal cell number and told me to call if I had any questions. I called twice more and he was very friendly. I felt comfortable about the purchase and decided to get one. Because I'm such a great customer (sarcastic eye roll), Terry told me he would throw in a spare magazine.
I received the pistol yesterday. It is indeed an NL. Although the exterior has seen some handling and is a bit rougher than I had hoped, the interior shows VERY little wear. Unlike the photo on the iAmmo site, mine has the flash-chromed trigger and hammer, which was a nice surprise for me. However, there was no spare magazine. Well, I thought, nothing ventured, nothing gained other than a bit of disappointment.
When I returned home from work today, there was a package waiting from Netballistics. Inside I found 100 rounds of 9mm and a card. It reads,
"Hi- Sorry, we didn't find extra mags for the 3913. Please accept this ammo as a thank you gift. Terry"
I can wholeheartedly endorse Terry and his business. He is a stand-up man.
