Was at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) yesterday for a Vietnam War symposium. Had an opportunity to visit the museum there during a break. Impressive collection of early colt revolvers, Colt revolving rifles, military arms and rare air rifles from 1800's. Also lots of Stonewall Jackson's items as well as his horse "Little Sorrell". Well worth a visit if you live in Va. Or travelling I-81 through Va.

They also have a George Marshall display and relics from the Patton family. George's grandfather was a VMI grad. He was the colonel of the 22nd Virginia Infantry CSA and was killed near Winchester VA in 1864. His son, General Patton's father, was also a VMI grad. Patton went to VMI for one year, before going to West Point.
