Just curious if any of the members will be setting up tables at this show?

It’s been a couple years since I’ve attended so hopefully it hasn’t turned into more jewelry & jerky.

In the past it used to be a good show…I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to your report especially if you are planning to be there both days. I have enjoyed attending but it's a high traffic time of the year and a fairly long haul for this oldtimer! Hope you find a jewel.

The show sponsor...SC Arms Collector's Association... Has a set of by-laws that cover what can be displayed/ sold during their shows (both Columbia and Greenville) ..It is billed as a "gun & knife show"... If you ask at the front desk, they'll be more than happy to show you the list of Items that are limited /or prohibited...

I am a member and past member of the board of directors.....Enjoy the show...

Gun show report

I arrived around 9:30 and lots of folks already there and left around 1:30 as my back was starting to bother me. That was probably due to the bag I was carrying around with guns for sale plus toting around a shot gun to sell.

Lots of nice Smith’s for sale…I’d say if you were looking for a particular model it was most likely sitting on someone’s table.

I did see a couple 27 8 3/8” the dash 2’s were priced at $1500 and a pre priced at $2250. I’m sure there was some wiggle room but lately I’ve seen them sell for less on some of the internet sites.

Wasn’t looking for any ammo but one place I heard that had lots of guns and ammo (estate sale) was selling shotgun boxes for $10 & hand or rifle ammo for $15 a box.

Ran into some old faces that I had dealt with in the past including Gene who used to share tables with Charlie Sides…sure do miss my friend Charlie 🥲

I ended up buying 1 gun. My first 36-1 3”. Very clean gun. I also picked up a couple sets of stock’s.

Sold 2 guns but they were non S&W’s. Was toting around 3 Smith’s priced very reasonable I thought but no bites…maybe post here on the Forum 🤔

Jim, yes very well run show as well as the Columbia Shows. I remember your extensive displays you used to set up. Hopefully see you at the Mega Show at the fairgrounds next spring.

Yes have bought a few revolvers & rifles from Dewey’s…he’s pretty proud of his inventory.

At the end of the day I believe I broke even including the stop at the liquor store prior to show.
