Hello all.
My wife has a S&W 632, which is too small for my hands. I'm looking for a .45 or .357 revolver for my nightstand and the range. I have no allegiance to any particular model at the moment, but I would like something with a substantial grip.

Welcome from the panhandle of West Virginia. Maybe something like a 686. Grips can be changed, my 442 was too small for my hands until I put on a set of Pachmayr compact grips. They're just big enough for my hands and still fit in my pocket.

Welcome to the forum, Bisbob!
Consider a 625 or any number of excellent S&W .357 models in a 4" barrel. I generally find the 4' barreled models to be balanced and quite versatile.
Check out the S&W revolver areas and read up, there is a ton of info!

My parents retired to Ashville. In fact, you can go see their house. Turn at the old 'Whiskey Tree,' and their old house has kind of an A-frame top level.

I like both the "N" frames (M27, M28, etc.) and "L" frames (M586, M686). The "N" frames are the larger of the two. Get your hands around these two frame sizes and see what feels the best.

BTW, welcome aboard from WI! This is best place to learn and share all things Smith & Wesson! :)

Welcome from Texas bisbob. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Good advice rom snubbyfan. Sometimes the grips are the key.
