Hello folks,
Been a lurker for a while to learn about the Model 25-5. Finally acquired one this week, 4" TS, TT, TG, RR, WO. No box or papers. Shows very little wear, vary light corrosion where the web of your hand hits the frame. SN is N823XXX.
Lock up is tight, SA trigger is very light and crisp. .452" LRN fits snugly into each chamber. Hoping to get to the range soon to try this dude out.
Got into 45 Colt with a TC Contender, love to shoot this caliber better than ACP. I'm set up to reload but have not started yet, have a lot of unfired rounds to use up that came with the Contender barrel.
Bought a Colt (sorry about that) Anaconda 6" in 45 colt and sold it for a profit after about a month. Nice gun but it didn't feel "right".
Me? USAF vet, 1969 - 1973, Air/Ground RO, 3 years in PI, 1 in Nodak. Ham Operator WB4SQI since 1970. Life member NRA, Member Ohio Gun Collectors Assoc., 38 years in coal mining machinery. Looking forward to retirement and more time to shoot.
Great forum for SW owners, educational content is excellent. Looking forward to acquiring more of the 25/625 series.
Regards,
Nick
