Hey. T here from WNY. Been a licensed hand-guner since 2000. I had a late start at 27y/o shooting only rifle up til then. When I started the handgun hobby the ONLY thing that interested me was revolvers. Til this day revolvers are my passion. I own many other guns and carry a 1911 everywhere but there is nothing like a wheelgun in my opinion. It's likes motorcycles, vintage guitars and revolvers. One of the 3 things I can spend hours over.
It's always been my opinion also that S&W makes the best revolvers. I'm not a fan of the lock system so I've been buying old stock or used Smiths now... minus my newer 642. I have a couple revolvers that came from the era just before the locks started too. Why couldn't they have utilized the Taurus revolver lock? It's just a shame to me with the frame. I just acquired a nickel model 19 today. It looks like it took a couple boxes of ammo at best and the past owner didn't do the best clean-up on it before trading. It'll look like new once I'm done.
Well, glad to be here. I love S&Ws
