Been looking for this movie on DVD to play on my computer. Was supposed to have been released in June or September depending which movie service you checkout. Supposedly did not come out in the movies like a new movie does. Trailers all over the place, posters as well. I'm thinking that it will make a splash come Christmas. Went in Wally world a week or so, and they had almost nothing in movies or games and the book section was mighty bare. So if anyone knows where the elslusive DVD can be found, please let me know. Thanks,Frank

Me two.
When it plays on Netflix or Prime, I’m in.
Knew a Lady who lost a Son in an early North Atlantic USN loss to a Uboat.
She had problems sleeping, often spent all night listening to the radio and playing Solitaire.
She bought Bicycle Cards by the carton.
She taught my Bro and I to play Sol and gave each of a deck of Bicycles.
Later on a guy hired to plow our garden taught us to play BooRay, but that’s another story!

I was looking this up recently as well. From what I can gather Sony sold the rights to Apple in spring. From then on it was just Apple TV where you could see it. No-one seems to have any clue as to when, or if, it will come out on DVD/Bluray. Some speculation seems to be after Apple has milked it as much as they can. Either way if it does come out on disc it will probably be danged expensive...

It supposedly came out in June or September and the reviews were pretty good. When Christmas comes around maybe it will be released as cd or dvd. You know a Christmas special. Thanks,Frank

Even though I'm a 21 year Navy veteran, most of which was ASW, and would like to have seen the movie I refuse to support any entertainment venue with partisipants that try to force their political views on others. Needless to say my selection of movies and professional sports is extremely limited.

I watched it to get an idea of what my father went though during his WW2 time in the Atlantic on convoy duty. The movie is just one trip. My father made trip, after trip, after trip, after trip, for I don't know how many times. What the movie didn't show is what happened after a ship was sunk. Ships did not stop to pick up the survivors. It was better to lose one ship and crew rather than two ships and two crews. A ship that stopped to pick up survivors was a sitting duck for the next torpedo. If the U boats didn't get you on the way to Britain, they sure would be waiting for you on your way back to the US.

My father wouldn't talk about what he experienced, but it must have very traumatic. I have photographs of my father pre-WW2, and he looked like a young Lee Marvin. After the war, he looked to have aged to his late 70s. I have a photograph of my father standing with me when I was less than 2 years old. He looked like he was my grandfather. My father was one tough old bird. He lasted until he was 92 years old.

The Good Shepherd by C.S. Forrester

The book was great. The movie was good with one exception.

The commie, Tom Hanks, played the lead role.

Just watched the trailer. Looks like a great film.
