Grip interchangeability??

<span class="ev_code_PURPLE">I've got a question. Will any of the 'vintage' grips from a #2 ,#3 ,38DA or a 44DA ,fit a round butt 'J' frame. The shape and size seems very close in pics on different grip sites. Curiosity is bugging me.TIA
