I am looking for a set of grips for my wife's 637 that will absorb more shock than the rubber S&W grips that came with the gun. I am looking at Hogue or Pachmayr but, didn't know which one or if someone else may make a better set of grips. I was wondering if anyone has the Pachmayr diamond pro grip on a j-frame?

Pachmayr's might be the best choice, they're a little softer than the Hogue's rubber grip. I'm not too sure about J-Frame grips, but for K/L frame they make both an open back grip and a closed one. I keep a set of the closed back Pachmayr's on my 686-1 and they are much more comfortable compared to the open back ones that were on the gun when I bought it. They are very similar to the decelerator grips they put on the X-frame revolvers. Pachmayr differentiates the models as Gripper and Gripper Pro, and I don't recall at the moment which is which.
