Groovin' to Bob Dylan

This was outstanding! Thanks for sharing it with us... :)

i NEVER get tired of seeing/listening to that video......the sound, the outstanding talent, puts me in another dimension.........bob dylan has been a favorite of mine since his beginning.......

years ago my wife and i were traveling through minnesota and i stopped in Hibbing and took a picture of me in front of his boyhood home......

I don't have to choose......

Dylan fan, but can't forget Paul Simon :)

I can listen to them both......

And a few more.

Some Paul Simon songs that 'speak' to me.

The Only Living Boy in New York
So Long Frank Lloyd Wright
I am a Rock
Richard Corey
The Sounds of Silence
The Boxer
El Condor Pasa (Incan song,Simon's words)
Wednesday Morning, 3 AM
Mrs. Robinson
Leaves That Are Green

I could name others that SOUND great:

Bridge over troubled water
Scarborough Fair

And just plain good songs:

59th Street Bridge
Hazy Shade of Winter
Cecilia

I remember some guy named James Taylor that was pretty good, too.

I love the way the Wilburys do this Del Shannon classic.

Two of the most consequential singer/songwriters of this century. I mean no exaggeration.

Johnny's in the basement
Mixin' up the medicine
I'm on the pavement
Thinkin' 'bout the guverment
One of the best opening lines ever.

And a verse or so later, "Twenty years of schoolin' and they put you on the day shift."

Yes, don't forget about The Traveling Wilburys

Dylan and Johnny Cash were friends. Have you ever noticed Dylans "Don't Think Twice Its Alright " and Cash's "Understand Your Man" share the same tune. JC liked the song so BD gave permission to use the tune.

Have you ever heard "Girl From The North Country"? Dylan & Cash were at one of their homes late one evening and recorded several songs, spur of the moment style. A very crude version made it onto an album.

And a Joan Baez song about Bob Dylan.
