Groo here
I just won an auction on a Charter arms Bulldog "Boomer" in 44 spec.
I want to use the GT 190 gr cast SWC HP bullet.
And want 2 loads,,, a light target / carry load around 600 to 700 fps
And a woods or heavy load both with same bullet.
I know the "light " load will not deform much but am going for
a lite kicking low muzzle blast load with a bullet that is 44cal.
The heaver load "may" deform but it is still a SWC..
Loads may become my general use loads for the Boomer and my M-69 2 3/4 in.
My powders are Bullseye, Unique, And might pickup something else like
AA5[ I have a bunch of AA7]

I'm very fond of GT bullets I use the 250gr Keith style in my .44 spls. super accurate in all of them.
I haven't tried the 190gr but it appears to be very similar to their 225gr .45 bullet that I use in my ACP revolvers
The terminal ballistics on the 225gr out of my revolver at about 850 fps is out standing, you should get about the same results in your .44 spl.

GT

I have had great results with GT bullets. Fast shipping great bullets. If I buy cast I buy from them.

I have used GT with great success. One thing I really like about them is they will sell you any of their bullets in a trial pack of 100. A little more pricey than buying 500 or 1000 but eliminates having a bunch of bullets laying around that you didn't like. Very friendly people as well. You can get the owner on the phone and he will gladly answer any questions you might have.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook #4 lists a 205gr L-SWC as their lightest bullet in the 44 Spcl.

Bullseye @ 5.1gr=820fps with the 205gr bullet.

Bullseye @ 4.5gr=724fps with a 210gr L-SWC bullet.

Unique @ 8.2gr (max)= 869fps with the 205gr bullet @ 14K CUP.

All from a 4" bbl.

Who is GT?

I've been following this Thread.

I'm wondering What, Who is GT.

Is it a Gas Checked (G) Lead Bullet meant
for Target (T) Shooting?

Please expound on this.

Cast bullet manufacturer located here in Augusta, GA. Makes lots of hard cast hollow points. Good folks.

I use them for hunting. In fact, killed my first handgun deer with a GT HP (.38/44), and dumped one yesterday with another in 30 WCF.

Gas check helpful when loading relatively hot. Helps reduce leading.
