I'm a little reluctant to admit my enjoyment of this ridiculous show. It has a unique gift of providing interesting information along with hearty belly laughs.

The interesting tidbits of science and archaeology are usually interesting and have some really informative stuff. I have learned some fascinating things from watching.

Then, the narrator says, "Could it me possible..." and the belly laughs start. I will have to say that anyone courageous enough to sport Georgio's hair style evokes admiration from me. Well, so much for self-reflection shared for today.

I believe a season of new episodes starts tonight on THC. I have probably seen all of the old ones at one time or another if there wasn't much else to watch. Some are good, most are just silly. "Could it me possible...?" "The answer of Ancient Astronaut theorists is Yes..."

It's the same narrator that Oak Island uses.
I tire of one of their crew that always says either " You have to ask yourself" or " You have to wonder".
He's the least credible one of the bunch and that ain't saying much.
I do agree that they go to some interesting places around the planet in their search for the "truth".

I never gave it the time of day, or those pushing similar theories on podcasts and whatnot. I get to sound like an old man now whining about when the history Channel used to be about history and whatnot.

A lot of this is just another "God of the gaps" idea. Ancient peoples had the same brains as we do, and while they did not have access to the wealth of knowledge we have now, were as smart and able to come up with impressive achievements. We have great oral and written records relating to the construction accomplishments of much of the ancient European world, so we accept that impressive Greek and Roman construction projects were done by smart men. When some run into incredible precision cuts, massive structures, impressive technology, etc. in the Americas, Africa, parts of the Middle East, or Asia, these guys don't have the same records and assumptions regarding those civilizations, and fill in the gaps with "probably aliens" nonsense instead of doing the real work and figuring it out, or giving those civilizations the benefit of the doubt.

I find it a wonderful program to turn on during the afternoon for white noise while napping. Other than that it is ridiculous.

It doesn't surprise me in the least, people have been believing in non scientific fact based stuff for thousands of years, at least if they believe in planetary movement there is some element of scientifically based fact involved.

It's entertaining; and ,frankly, once in a while I scratch my head. I really like the hairdo of the Greek guy. :D
